Privacy policy
What we collect on this site, why, who sees it and how long we keep it. Short, because we collect very little.
Who this covers
This policy applies to frontiercyber.app and to personal information you send us through it. Frontier Cyber ("we", "us") is based in Vancouver, Canada. We handle personal information under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), and under the privacy laws of other Canadian provinces where they apply.
RiskTrace (risktrace.ai) and Frontier Verify (frontierverify.com) are separate companies under the Frontier Cyber group and publish their own privacy policies. Information you provide to us during a consulting engagement is governed by the engagement agreement, which takes precedence over this policy where the two differ.
What we collect
Information you give us
When you request a quote we ask for your name, work email address, company, the service you are interested in and a description of what you need. We use this to reply to you and to scope the work. Nothing on this site is a mailing list sign-up, and we do not add quote requests to marketing lists.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider records standard server logs when you visit: the IP address of your device, the pages requested, the time of the request, and the browser and operating system you use. We use these logs to keep the site running and secure, and we keep them only as long as that requires.
This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies and loads no third-party trackers. Fonts, scripts and styles are served from our own domain. If that changes, this policy will be updated before it does.
How we use it
- To respond to your request and, if you engage us, to deliver the work.
- To operate, secure and improve the site.
- To meet legal, regulatory and professional obligations, including record keeping.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for automated decisions about you.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run this site and deliver your request to us: a hosting and content delivery provider, and a transactional email provider that carries quote requests to our consultants. Each processes information only on our instructions and under contract. Some of these providers operate in the United States, which means your information may be stored or processed outside Canada and may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.
We will also disclose personal information where the law requires it, for example in response to a court order, or where it is necessary to protect the rights, safety or property of a person.
How long we keep it
Quote requests are kept for as long as we need them to respond and to maintain a record of enquiries, after which they are deleted. Server logs are retained for a short, fixed period for security and operational purposes. Information collected during an engagement is retained according to the engagement agreement and our records retention schedule.
How we protect it
Information is encrypted in transit. Access to quote requests is limited to the consultants who need them to respond. We apply the same security practices to our own systems that we recommend to clients, and we review them regularly.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to our use of it, subject to legal and contractual limits. Write to privacy@frontiercyber.com and we will respond within the time the law allows, normally thirty days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, for matters under PIPA, to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes to how we collect or use personal information will be noted here before they take effect.
