How we work

The same four steps, every engagement.

It is written down, it is the same for a two-day web test and a six-month advisory, and you can read it before you buy.

01 / SCOPE

Agree what is in, what is out, and what "done" means.

Every engagement starts with a written scope. It names the assets, systems or decisions in scope, the exclusions, the testing or review windows, the rules of engagement, the escalation contacts on both sides, and the specific questions the work has to answer.

The scope also names the consultants. You know who is doing the work before it starts, and the price is fixed against the scope rather than against the hours it takes us.

YOU RECEIVE
  • A scope document with assets, exclusions, windows and rules of engagement
  • Named consultants and a named point of contact
  • A fixed price and a delivery date
02 / TEST

Manual work first, tooling second.

Tooling is used to cover ground. The findings that matter come from people reading your environment, your documents and your systems closely, then trying things a scanner would never think to try.

During the engagement you can see daily notes: what was looked at, what was found, what is being tried next. Anything critical is raised the same day rather than held for the report.

YOU RECEIVE
  • Daily notes during the engagement
  • Same-day notice of critical findings
  • A consultant you can reach while the work is running
03 / VERIFY

A second analyst reproduces every finding.

Before a finding goes into a report, a second analyst who did not do the original work reproduces it from the notes alone. If it cannot be reproduced, it does not ship. If the steps are unclear, they are rewritten until it can be.

Severity is scored against a published standard and then adjusted for your context, with the reasoning written down. The result is a report with no padding, no guesses and nothing your engineers have to reinterpret.

YOU RECEIVE
  • Every finding reproduced by a second analyst
  • Severity scored, with the reasoning shown
  • Exact reproduction steps and evidence for each issue
04 / REPORT

Written for the board and the engineer.

One report, two readers. The executive summary says what the exposure is, what it means for the business and what to do first, in plain language on a few pages. The technical appendix gives engineers everything they need to fix each issue without a follow-up call.

The fix list is prioritised by risk and effort. A retest window is included so that, once the fixes are in, we verify them and reissue the report with a closure summary you can show to customers, auditors and your board.

YOU RECEIVE
  • An executive summary and a technical appendix
  • A prioritised fix list your tracker can import
  • A retest window and a closure summary
The report

One document, two readers.

Every engagement ends in a report the board can act on and the engineers can work from. This is what is in it.

01

Executive summary

What the exposure is, what it means for the business and what to do first. Plain language, a few pages, written for directors and executives.

02

Findings

Each issue with its severity and the reasoning behind the score, the exact steps to reproduce it, the evidence, and the recommended fix.

03

Technical appendix

Scope, dates, depth, accounts used, tooling, and the methodology applied. Everything an engineer or auditor needs to know what was and was not tested.

04

Prioritised fix list

The findings ordered by risk and effort, exportable to your tracker, so remediation can start the day the report lands.

05

Retest and closure

A retest window to confirm the fixes, and a reissued report with a closure summary you can hand to customers, auditors and your board.

Rules we work by

Written down, so you can hold us to them.

Named consultants

The people doing the work are named in the scope before it starts. No bench, no bait and switch.

Written scope, fixed price

Price is set against the scope, not the hours. Changes to scope are agreed in writing.

Second-analyst verification

Nothing enters a report until someone who did not find it has reproduced it.

Nothing we cannot reproduce

Inferred findings, unconfirmed versions and scanner noise are removed, not hedged.

Daily notes

During an engagement you can see what is being looked at and what has been found.

Same-day escalation

Critical findings are raised the day they are confirmed, not held for the report.

Retest included

Every testing engagement includes a window to verify the fixes and reissue the report.
